Hi all, I'm living in a suburb of Delhi at the moment, and really really want to learn Rajasthani dance while I'm in India! I want to go to one of the gypsy tribes in Rajasthan, I've heard of the Kalbelya tribe, but dont know where to go to organise a stay/workshops with them. I would rather not book with a travel agent, I want to pay the dancers directly for their hard work! Can anyone give me any information? Im hoping to take a long weekend from work and stay for around 3 days, any advice would be greatly appreciated - thanks :)

You could try to contact Christine through the troupe's website. And, I know that Gulabi Sapera was in New York last year, performing at the World Music Institute in NYC. Maybe they can help you find Gulabi's contact information? -
